I remember as a kid saying this over and over and over, feeling it was profound.....

Yesterday was today, today is tomorrow and tomorrow will be today.

Now I would say it this way.........

Today is tomorrow, tomorrow is today and yesterday never was.

We are all moving forward into the experience of our life.

My mind wants me to change "and yesterday never was" to 'and yesterday is gone' but my guidance is telling me to leave it as is ♥

Something to feel about, instead of think about............Happy Monday♥

2011 Natural Living Expo was great!

Hello everyone!!
We saw many people we knew and made lots of new friends these past few days. At the very end of the show we asked an attendee that was at our booth to draw a name for the winner of $50 and the winner was a wonderful woman named Lynne. I called her cell phone and since she was still in the Sturbridge area she drove back to the convention center and we gave her, her winnings!!
We plan on going back again next year as vendors and speakers. Now for some pictures. Only a few as the days were busy.

There is nothing like a haircut (photo shows haircut I just got) to bring up old limiting beliefs!! Getting the haircut I want has been an ongoing issue in my life. I get this desire, urge if you will, to get a short haircut. The image in my mind is more full with long layers, like a cap of hair. In my mind it's very pretty and natural, not like the picture which is cut close with short layers. I even bring photos to the salons to show the hair stylists. I also look through their books to show them what I want and even what I do not want. I have spent a lot of time over the years showing and explaining what "I do not want" in a haircut and guess what? I have just about always ended up with this same shaped haircut......Ugh!! (what we focus on is what we attract) Although once I did get a great short haircut and could never get it again, even from the same hairstylist. I guess that was one of those times when the Universe was showing me it is possible but first there is work to do.

This time, when the same haircut with it's attached feelings came around again, I did my work around the feelings coming up. This time I asked myself the questions..."Why do I feel the way I feel about this haircut?" "What are these feelings showing me about me"? "What gifts (known as old limiting beliefs about myself) are the emotions in strange wrapping paper (called a haircut) here to show me about me?"

In the past I would have focused on the hair stylist (aka: the holder of the mirror) instead of the feelings/emotions showing up (what the mirror is reflecting). In the past I have used tremendous energy and precious moments of my life avoiding my feelings and blaming the mirror holder. I have felt, dealt with and released so many old limiting beliefs I held about myself (we all have them and they were formed from conception to age 7) I was surprised by the depth of what I was feeling around this haircut. Journaling helped a great deal.

Here is some of what came up as I wrote with guidance from my Angels and Guides............

Q--What is up with my hair? Why do I continue to get the same haircut no matter who is cutting

my hair?

A--Your hair is directly connected to your feelings of self worth and fitting in. You are correct

you have the same haircut you got each summer at your Aunt's house. Even that was not the

original occurrence with your hair

Q--What was?

A--A baby, long before you knew you even had hair.

Q--How does that apply if I didn't even know I had hair? How would any limiting beliefs be

formed around hair when hair was not in my experience?

A--It was all of the comments and how they made you feel. When you became aware of your

hair you made the connection.

Q--OK, I still don't know anymore now than before this dialog. What is my self work in this? I

would love to heal this and have a great haircut:-)

A--(no answer came.................

What is coming up for me is the past........SURPRISE! LOL

In the summer when I would go to Quincy to stay with my Aunt Madeline she would bring me (or maybe Mary started it, I don't know). Anyway, I would be taken to this beauty salon and get a Pixie, aka: scalped! I loved my hair long and they didn't want to deal with it so they had it cut off every time I stayed with one of them.

I went to the hair stylist this week with pictures of the haircut I wanted on my iPad so she could see what I want. I even showed her the picture of what I wanted again before she started cutting my hair and I got what you see above, not what I wanted.

I am tired of this showing up. I am open to tapping into the old limiting beliefs still being held as energy inside my body. I am still drawing this haircut to me. These haircuts are being done FOR me, not To me. Every single time I have been given this haircut it is and was an opportunity to look inside, to look at what the mirror was reflecting to me about me.

Here is what came up when I let the old limiting negative beliefs surface..............

Nobody listens to me.........What I say doesn't matter...........They know better than me..........I cannot articulate my desires............Nobody understands me no matter how much detail I use in my explanation of what I want...........I am not understood...........People lie and say something looks good when it doesn't..............My perception and the hair stylist's perception of the same photo are way off..............My father never told them to stop........Nobody had my back.....I had to stand up for myself or I was doomed............If I had a mother they wouldn't do this to me, she would care about me and stop them.............I was easy prey because I had nobody to protect me.........I must become tough and protect myself.............

I know what is, is. My hair is what it is until it grows. I know that I will go to the wedding this weekend and have a blast even though I have this haircut. I know that what my hair looks like says nothing about me, it's just hair, it's not ME. I also know that the many feelings and self limiting beliefs I formed from conception to 7 years are what is coming up.

Just now I had a memory of my mother brushing my hair and saying what nice hair I had and how she loved to brush it. I was around 6 in this memory. It was after my mother died when I was 7 that her sister's showed an interest in me. Madeline couldn't get pregnant and Mary had a son but wanted a daughter too. Even though they said my sister was prettier they stopped having her sleep over because she wet the bed. I didn't, so I was the "pretend I have a daughter girl" until Madeline had her own. I got to stay there a couple of times after my cousin was born but then I was not invited to stay with them anymore. She had a real daughter now and didn't need me around. When they had another way to fill their needs (my cousin) I was thrown back like a fish that wasn't good enough to keep.

Lot's of awareness of old limiting belief in this experience for me..........

......by cutting my hair off they took away a connection to my mother, something about me that

my mother loved.

......I wasn't good enough to have around just as I was.

......They would have been happier with my sister but settled for me.

I remain open to all of the "gifts in strange wrapping paper" this haircut is bringing to me. I am light and love allowing the release of old limiting beliefs to leave my body. The old negative energy attached to these beliefs about myself, and the emotions attached to those beliefs, no longer serve me in any way. I release them now and invite the energy of love and light to flow into the space created as they leave my physical body and my experience in this lifetime.

Finally Understand Now

Conscious Breathing Meditation

This is a very quick and effective meditation that you can do anywhere, anytime that you can close your eyes for 40 seconds or so. The intention here is to release your (in-tension) and transform it to (out-tension) or (inner peace).

Close your eyes, take a deep slow breath in through your nose, and as you do this say in your mind, "I am". Release the breath very slowly through your mouth and as you do say "At peace". Repeat this. Then on your third in breath, hold it for 3 seconds repeating "I am, I am, I am" in your mind. As you release the breath saying "at peace", feel that peace throughout your mind and body. Aaaaaaaaaaaaah! Enjoy the serenity.

Conscious Breathing: "How often are yo so caught up in the daily 'to do' list that if it weren't for your sub-conscious (reptillian) brain would you forget to breathe? Conscious breathing is the conscious decision to breathe in deeply and as you do saying 'I am' and as you breathe out saying 'at peace'. It is amazing how this small act of self love can center you and from the center you can choose to go in any direction. You are also making a direct connection from the conscious mind to the sub-conscious mind, they are operating as one. It feels natural, peaceful, and joyful, and most of all loving, and that is our natural state of being. So make sure to add the time on your 'to do' list to breathe consciously, and let's call it the 'to be' list. AAAAAHHHH!

I'm working on an update

In the meantime enjoy a poem Joe wrote last year. It helps explain how we named our business Finally Understand Now aka: F.U.N.

F.U.N.

For most of my years life was a challenge, to say the least

It seemed as though it was on my back, like a great big ugly beast

Worrying if I had done good enough, would I make the grade

Agonizing about what was ahead, is the only time the past would fade

If I made a mistake, I pulled out that emotional bat

Then let everyone else punish me, I became a doormat

The future must be perfect, no mistakes can there be

More worry, more turmoil, high expectations I placed on me

Stoneface they called me, if I smiled I would crack

Worry, tension, anger, and sadness, a four stage attack

Then something happened to change my thinking, I started to console

Something made me realize, that I wasn’t in control

There are only two words to think about, they simplify life so well

They are Me, and Now, upon nothing else I need dwell

So when thoughts of controlling others, past or future come, I try to not allow

Because I feel the peace, and freedom, I Finally Understand Now.

How and why do affirmatiions work?

Have you ever wondered why or how affirmations work? Here is my understanding. We have created many of our behaviors and thoughts by way of repeated messages that were told to us, or that we told ourselves until they became true for us. Affirmations are the very same thing with a different name. When we are changing our thoughts, and behaviors via affirmations, our conscious mind filters what is allowed to get into our sub-conscious mind. After repeatedly saying affirmations with emotion they too become true for us. Eventually they get through the filters and enter the sub-conscious and voila! a new way of thinking and a new attitude. So it is necessary to say affirmation often, very often, and when you add the emotion, you have a recipe for success. One very generic affirmation written long ago is "Every day in every way I am getting better and better".

Row Row Row Your Boat

Let go and let God. I believe this means not obsessing or worrying about the outcomes of situations. To stop trying to control every result. To have faith (sometimes blind faith) that there is a higher power at work and that eveything happens for a reason. Our spirit knows this, it is our mind that has difficulty with it. However, it also does not mean that we do not have to do anything. It is our job to row the boat, (do the footwork) and our higher power steers the boat (guides us in directions). We cannot row and steer at the same time, and our higher power does not row. If we do nothing we go no-where, when we do the work and allow ourselves to be guided, and accept that where we are is exactly where we are suppose to be we are now-here. Like the song says Row, row, row, your boat, gently down the stream, merrily, merrily, merrily, merrilyLife is but a dream

Reality Check

If I live in the now, and don't judge good or bad, I can just accept life as it comes. It is when I choose to take the now reality and write a fictional story around it, that I now have an imagined reality, hence good and bad becomes part of the story. This imagined reality is just as real as if it were happening now, because IT IS............ in my mind. Having the awareness of this doesn't mean I am always able to just think it different, but it does mean I know when I am doing it. This awareness allows me to get out of the movie directors role more often, more easily, or at least know that I am doing it to myself, by choice. The more I am aware that I am choosing, I choose not to.

One word inspiritaion

Is it possible to inspire someone using one word? I think it is if you use an acronym. Let's see how many of us can come up with an acronym for a word that has a spiritual in nature inspiration. I will start the ball rolling my word is ASTRAL. The acronym is A Spiritual Threshold Reaffirming All Love. Now it is your turn.

We are back!..............

I am, right now, updating information on our website. New information, new pricing, new, new, new. Must be spring fever!! All things are new again. All things are bright and full of potential!! We all are, can you feel it too?

There is no better catalyst to cleaning out the car than unexpectedly needing to give someone a ride home. Yikes!! Seeing the inside of my car through their eyes was not a good feeling moment for me. However, I am grateful because now that I've seen it, I will clean it and keep it that way!! And so it is!!

Is it true that you get what you give? I like to think it is true. Let's prove this theory of the universal energy. Remember that to give is an action, it does not mean thinking and not doing, and it does not mean wait until someone else gives to you first. Imagine yourself in a circle and that everyone you meet today is a part of that circle of this day. Pass One Ounce of Love to each person in some way that feels right to you. Then tune in to all of your interactions with people the rest of the day and notice how many ounces of love are being sent your way. A circle always has a beginning (you) and and ending (you). If I said to you, "stop clogging your straw" you might think I was a little strange.

Let me explain............

If the universe were a straw and life was the liquid that was sent through that straw, the story might go something like this. Chocolate milk is being sent through the straw, and some of us like chocolate milk, we want more, and want it faster. We climb up into that straw and try to pull it down faster.

Some of us do not like chocolate milk so we climb up into the straw and try to push it back up.

In both cases we are creating a clog, and in both cases the chocolate milk is still going to come down the straw, just a little or a lot slower now that we have tried to control the flow. If we can just accept what is coming down the straw, we will get all of the chocolate milk, and then be able to try something different, like apple juice. Or, in the case of not liking chocolate milk, it will be changed to apple juice quicker without us clogging the straw. Life is going to happen, no matter what. Our perception of it is what will make it harder or easier to deal with.

The least inter(fear)ance on our part, by not trying to control the flow, will give us that experience, then we move on to try another, or get us past the ones we don't like quicker, and we move onto another. So now if I say "stop clogging your straw" you might NOT think I am so strange, maybe.

Thank you to the four wonderful people that were in my level 1 class today. What an amazing day of peaceful, loving, energy. Everyone experienced their attunement and subsequent (give & receive) Reiki sessions at a very deep, connected level. I feel blessed to have shared Reiki with you today.

Hello and welcome to my first blog. I'm sure as I go along it will make more sense to me and become easier. I've been a member of different online groups and forums for years and have tried them as a way to reach people recently but keep being drawn to Blogging............so here I am!!
Joe, my husband of 38 years may also post here from time to time. One of the things he and I do together is facilitate workshops. We are certified Louise Hay Heal Your Life Teachers. What a wonderful, life changing experience our two day workshops are. Louise Hay has been sharing her work for many years and is continuing to teach people to love and accept themselves through her certified teachers holding workshops around the world.
